Treat yourself to a warming drink for relaxation and a little ME time. Mmmmm…
I just love a ‘cup of comfort’ and this just hits the spot for me during the winter. I sometimes add a ginger teabag for some extra spice. If you need a little sweetness try ½ teaspoon of manuka honey.
Lemon hot water is a great hydrator, helping to balance pH in your digestive system and providing vitamin C and potassium. Adding the ginger will also assist your digestion.
Mint tea always transports me to a Marrakech Souk but as important, mint is often used by herbalists for its calming digestive properties, containing menthol, menthone, menthofuran, a-pinene, limonene, cardinene, acetic aldehide, isovaleriana, vitamin C and antibiotic substances.
Boiling water
Bunch of fresh mint
½ lemon in wedges
1 cinnamon stick
1 chunk of fresh ginger
