In this blog we are going to explore how you’d like to FEEL and WHY – This is crucial to your motivation.
How would You Like HIGH FLYING ENERGY to Feel for you?
I’d like you to think about how you want to feel:
- Do you want to have more energy or to feel healthier?
- What will that mean to you?
Describe how you feel now, looking at whatever you think is a negative and then rewrite this to describe how you’ll feel in a month when you’ve had time to focus on yourself – make it positive.
EXAMPLES:
“I still feel tired 20 minutes after getting up.” Reframe this into: “I feel wide awake in the morning, I spring out of bed and feel energetic all day.”
Another example could be that you suffer from poor memory and concentration – reframe this into “I have a clear mind all day and am able to concentrate in meetings and easily recall information.”
MY TOP TIP
Make a note of these aims in a notebook and keep them safe; after a month or so of making HIGH FLYING ENERGY changes, you can look back and see the progress you’ve made. I’m pretty sure you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the positive feelings you’re experiencing and how much progress you have made.
WRITE YOUR HEALTHY INTENTION on paper and GIVE YOURSELF A TIME FRAME TO MAKE CHANGES.
It’s important that you spend time to clearly map out what changes you want to bring about in your life. Although visualising and manifesting are positive steps, you can’t just wish for change – you have to actively work at this.
Perhaps you can share your healthy intentions with someone you trust and who may encourage you as you go. Or join my HIGH FLYING ENERGY FACEBOOK GROUP – you’ll be welcome there (High Flying Energy Facebook Group) we share tips, inspiration and motivation.
When you decide to make a change in your life, write down that HEALTHY INTENTION.
For instance, here is a clear, definite example you could use as a guide:
My intention is to be totally dedicated to looking after myself, so that I can feel a high level of energy every day and alleviate the energy dips throughout the day which drag me down and make me unproductive. I will do this by making time each week by taking time to plan, prepare and put into action the steps required so I can feel amazing.
Give yourself a time frame in which you’d like to bring about the changes – this is a good way to hold yourself accountable. Put it out there and make yourself a promise. Setting an intention can put us in the right frame of mind to do something positive, and gives us something to go back to if we find we’re going off track.
What are Your Goals?
Your goals must be clear, exciting and rewarding. There’s no point in doing anything unless it’s going to be of benefit!
Think of one to three things that you would actually love to have or do in your new reality.
What are your pain points, causing you discomfort in your life? Whatever it is, make this something you want to change.
Write a positive sentence to outline the ideal outcome, and then develop it:
- How would your life be improved when you achieve it?
- How would your life look and feel and how would it differ from now?
It’s also really important to be able to say WHY you want this, as this underpins your motivation. Consider the benefits to you and those around you.
Write out your goal as fully as you can.
An example is:
I’d love to wake up every morning feeling alert, wide-awake and able to get going quickly.
Answering the above questions, the description of your goal goes on to say:
I will be able to make breakfast before work, I’ll miss the traffic and arrive feeling less stressed and able to prepare for my morning meeting. Doing this will put me on an even keel for the day and make everything else go smoothly.
This will only take a few minutes of your time; it’s an investment worth making. It will really help you connect with how you’d like to feel and why it’s worth making an effort to implement some healthy changes.
So far you will have started to cultivate your VIP MINDSET and have considered what your HEALTHY INTENTIONS AND GOALS are.
In the next blog, we’ll be looking at the BARRIERS, which may be stopping you from making positive changes and how you can overcome them. These may prevent you from getting started with a new phase, halt you or even take you off track completely. When you know what these are, you can work to navigate around them.
Coming soon ……
I’ll be sharing more detail about the practicalities of how to gain HIGH FLYING ENERGY with food and lifestyle choices later on in the series. In the meantime REMEMBER to set YOUR HEALTHY INTENTIONS and REWARDING GOALS.
